The Access Point connects the portable Scorpion Controller to the fixed Scorpion system (cabling, Scorpion Heads). Up to four individual Scorpions (Point, ASD or a combination of the two) can be connected to a single Access Point. Scorpion systems are wired in FP200 shielded twisted pair or equivalent.
The circuit is based on a radial topology – the cable does not need to be returned to the Access Point as with loop circuits. Each Scorpion head provides it’s own end of line termination when necessary.
